SOUTH WEST RUGBY LEAGUE: Week 2 actions resume on Saturday

ACTIONS will resume in Week 2 of the CMB Building and Investment Company sponsored South West Rugby League inside the main bowl of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos on Saturday, Sportsbiz247 can report.

According to the week 2 fixtures released by the technical department of the league, the first match of the day will start by 12 noon in Division 2 between Royal Stallions of Ilorin and Eco II Rugby Football Club of Lagos.

By 2pm, the big boys in the Premier League will resume hostility where the two strong Lagos rivals will trade tackles; Cowrie RFC of Lagos will hope to bounce back to the top of the table in their highly rated encounter against Racing RFC.

The last game of the day will see Gosar RFC of Lagos facing Police RFC by 4pm.

It would be recalled that Gosar suffered a shocking 58-0 loss to Racing RFC two weeks ago in their opening day encounter which has seen them rooted to the bottom of the four-team league.

Speaking ahead of their game on Saturday, Captain of Cowrie RFC, Azeez Ladipo said, "We never started well in our first game of the season despite our victory.

“We have gone back to the drawing board to perfect our game pattern because we know that our game against Racing RFC will not be an easy one.”
