Accolades have continued to pour in for Super
Eagles striker, Kelechi Iheanacho following his man-of-the-match performance in
Manchester City’s 4-0 victory over Stoke City last weekend, with Former
Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie Redknapp describing him ‘a natural
born finisher’.
The
19-year-old netted the third and fourth goals in the second half to take his
tally to 11 goals in 30 senior outings as City eased to victory at the Etihad, Sportsbiz247 reports.
After winning
the penalty in the first half, the impressive Iheanacho got in on the act
himself after the interval, making sure of the victory with two expertly-taken
goals on 64 and 74 minutes to seal a comfortable victory ahead of Tuesday's
Champions League date with Real Madrid.
His display
caught the eye of Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp, who said the Nigerian
should be fielded ahead of Wilfried Bony against the Spanish giants in the
Champions League semi-final.
"He's a natural born finisher. If you are
looking at midweek and the Champions League and who you would bring on if
things aren't going your way, he'd probably go in ahead of Wilfried Bony,"
the former England international said.
