NFF CRISIS:Dalung inaugurates 7-man reconciliation committee

A seven-man Reconciliation committee has been inaugurated by the Hon Minister Barrister Solomon Dalung at the conference room of the National Stadium Abuja.
The committee is charged with restoring peace to the crisis ridden Nigeria Football Federation.

A one time NFA President Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima is the Chairman  while other members are Dr Tijani Yusuf, Dr Bolaji Ojo-Oba, Paul Bassey, Barrister Musa Amadu, Barrister Obi and Mrs Carol Nkem Ojukwu.

Inaugurating the committee on Tuesday , the Minister charged the group with a single term of reference; To find a way forward in the present NFF Crisis. Barrister Dalung empowered the group to co-opt members, interface and reach out to anybody who can be of assistance to achieving their mandate.

"Every member of this committee is here on merit and I think people like you can rescue the country. The number of young people that are enlisting in each camp on a daily basis on the social media is alarming. Nigerians are gradually being factionalized into these two camps so you must put the country's interest above personal interest. You must set aside your sentiments.  If we continue like this, where will football be by next year? Can we even qualify for the World Cup?" Dalung quipped.

In his acceptance speech, Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima thanked the minister for counting the committee members worthy of the service they've been called upon to render. He  recalled that Nigeria's football crisis had started way  back in 2006 when he was President. He promised that the committee will do its best to restore peace in the football federation.

The Reconciliation Committee has one week to submit its report.
