AFTER successfully defending his Pro Wrestling Africa (PWA)
Heavyweight title, Nigerian heavyweight wrestler, Godspower Ikpide, popularly
called Power Lee De Great has now shifted his focus on the Allied Independent
Wrestling Federation (AIWF) World title fight against Damien Wayne Kostyal.
The match, scheduled to hold in January 2017 in

the Asaba Township Stadium, Asaba in Delta State to retain his African title
informed SportingLife that he is ready move on to the next level.
Before the World title fight in January, Power Lee has
also been scheduled to engage Rikishi in a preparatory match on the 30th of
July in Alabama, USA.
“I've been promoting
professional wrestling with the help of organisation called Ultimate Pro
Wrestling Promotions (UPWP). I've been the national champion without any
assistance, now I'm the African champion and I was able to defend the title
here in Asaba which has gone to put Nigeria positively on the World map.
“Now I've been given the opportunity to take a shot at
the world title, it's left for me to prepare towards that day, but I don't have
the financial muscle to pull all these things together because we have just
finished an event and 80percent of that was done by me. I will present my belt
to the Sports Minister, Solomon Dalung and Delta State governor, Senator Dr.
Ifeanyi Okowa before I travel for the international bouts and will also seek
support from the federal and state governments”, he told SportingLife.
