FANS and supporters of Prime Football Club will welcome
back their darling team at home when the Nigeria National League kicks off on
Saturday across the nation.
The Omoluabi Giants are getting ready to make a return to
their traditional home ground, the Oshogbo Township Stadium when they welcome UNICEM Rovers Football Club of Calabar, in one of the Week 1
fixtures of the 2015/2016 Nigeria National League.
For the past six seasons, the State of Osun financed club
have adopted Iloko-Ijesha, Ibadan, Offa, Ado Ekiti and Ede respectively as home
ground due to the rehabilitation of the 15, 000 capacity Oshogbo Township
Stadium.
The stadium has been completed and ready to host league
matches involving Prime FC, and Osun Babes, with lush-green pitch, the spectators'
stand and modern perimeter fencing.
Football lovers in the state have expressed their
happiness at the level of work done at the main bowl of the stadium and the
stadium is expected to be full to capacity on Saturday when Prime welcome
UNICEM Rovers.
Meanwhile, Chairman Prime Football Club, Chief Taiwo
Ogunjobi, has lavished praises on his players for putting up a commendable
performance against Inneh Stars on Wednesday.
Ogunjobi, said he is happy with his team feat for
securing the important Federation Cup Round of 64, 2-1 win over the non-league
side during the week.
The ex-international further stated that the win against
Inneh Stars shows that his team is ready for National League hostilities that
kick off this weekend.
"It is a commendable result, and I must say that I
am happy with the feat. It is a clear fact that we are ready for the league and
I must commend Inneh Stars for giving us a tough match."
The State of Osun Pillar of Sports, has implore soccer
fans in Oshogbo and its environs to come out on Saturday to cheer the 'Believe
and Achieve' side to victory over UNICEM Rovers this weekend.
However, Coach Shina Afolabi, has promised a better
outing against UNICEM Rovers that he will make corrections from Inneh Stars
match before Saturday most especially in the final third and he also appreciate
the support given to him by the players, management, and supporters.
