NIGERIA Under-17 women team, the Flamingoes have been drawn against Brazil, England and Korea DPR in Group C of this year’s FIFA U-17
Women’s World Cup, Jordan 2016.
The draw event which took place at the Al-Hussein
Cultural Centre in downtown Amman, was overseen by His Highness Prince Ali bin
Hussein, the President of the Jordanian Football Association.
Ghana and Cameroon are other Africa's representatives at
the tournament that will hold between September 30 and October 21 this year.
While Ghana was drawn against USA, Paraguay, Ghana and Japan
in Group D, Cameroon will face Venezuela, Germany and Canada in Group B.
The coach Bala Nkiyu tutored-Flamingoes will face Brazil team in their opening match
of the competition on October 1, 2016 at the King Abdullah Stadium before taking
on England on October 4 at the King Abdullah Stadium). The team’s last group game will
be against Korea DPR on October 8 at the
Amman International Stadium.
Hosts, Jordan will be in Group A and play their first
match against Spain on the opening day of the competition, 30 September.
Three other matches will also take place that day,
including the tournament's opening match between New Zealand and Mexico.
The Groups:
Group A: Jordan, Spain, Mexico, New Zealand
Group B: Venezuela, Germany, Cameroon, Canada
Group C: Nigeria, Brazil, England, Korea DPR
Group D: USA, Paraguay, Ghana, Japan
