Ideye glad to be back in Eagles

OLYMPIAKOS of Greece forward Brown Ideye has expressed delight over his return to the national team set up.

Ideye an African Nations Cup winner with the Super Eagles in 2013 was last part of the Super Eagles squad for an international friendly game against Italy on the 18th of November 2013 prior to the World Cup.

He subsequently failed to make the squad to the World Cup and has not featured ever since for the Super Eagles.

Ideye who is presently in France with the Super Eagles for the friendly against Mali on the 27th says he is indeed a happy man to be given the opportunity to don the national colors once again.

"I feel happy about it you know it has been a really long time I have not been with the team. So I’ll say thank you for everyone who made it possible for me to return to the national team."

The striker who got a decent goals return in his first season with Greek giants Olympikos (10 goals) says he would be under no pressure whatsoever and would enjoy his time playing for the national team once again.

"As for me it’s all about going there enjoying my football and doing what I know how to do best which is scoring goals and enjoying football."

The Super Eagles will play Mali on the 27th of May in France then play Luxembourg on the 31st of May in Luxembourg.
