NPFL: Sunshine desperate to beat Wikki, says Adedipe

SUNSHINE Stars midfielder, Adedipe Kehinde has expressed confident that his team will secure the maximum points at home when they host Wikki Tourists in Wednesday’s Week 18 match of the Nigeria Professional Football League at the Akure Township Stadium.

A brace from Warri Wolves’ Sikiru Alimi ensured the Owena Waves left Warri Stadium empty handed in the Week 17 encounter, but Adedipe who was a second half substitute in the encounter is optimistic that the team would bounce and secure the much needed victory in front of their fans.

"We are not happy with the result we got against Warri Wolves, but we are ready to bring back joy to the faces of our numerous fans and supporters who were also disappointed with the outcome in Warri".

"We are determined and desperate to return to winning ways and we hope to start with the match against Wikki Tourists on Wednesday by the grace of God", the former Rising Stars player told SportingLife.

Sunshine currently occupy the 13th position on the log with 21 points, while Wikki Tourists are third on the table with 28 points with a game in hand.
