FORMER junior international, John Owoeri is delighted to win
the Swedish Cup with BK Hacken.
The former Enyimba and Heartland forward was in action as BK
Hacken defeated Malmo FF 6-5 on penalties in the Swedish Cup final on Thursday
evening.
The game played at the Swedbank Stadion in Sweden's
capital - Malmo ended 2-2 at the regulation time.
Malmo took a 2-0 first-half lead through Markus Rosenberg
and Magnus Eikrem but the former Ghana U17 captain – Nasiru Mohammed, equalised
both goals after scoring within five minutes in the second-half (61st and 66th
minutes) to cancel the lead.
Owoeri made a cameo appearance coming in as a 91st minute substitute
for Alexander Jeremejeff.
The 29 year old uploaded a picture posing with the trophy
on his Instagram page and wrote, “#starboy champion God is great.”
Having secured the Swedish Cup, Hacken will now compete
in the in the 2016/17 UEFA Europa League.
