NIGERIA Professional Football League outfits, FC Ifeanyi
Ubah, Kano Pillars, Wikki Tourists and Akwa United are bidding to sign former Super Eagles
defender, Joseph Yobo, sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports.
The League Management Committee, LMC who made this known
via their official Twitter handle on Tuesday said the former Everton defender
has been signed up as League Ambassador and will soon be assigned to a club
under the NPFL Elite Players Scheme which former Super Eagles midfielder, Sani
Kaita benefited from two seasons ago.
The League management said the former Fenerbahçe star will be available for the last 12 NPFL games this season.
“Joseph Yobo to play last 12 #NPFL games this season as
League Ambassador signed on by the LMC.
“Yobo will soon be assigned to a club under the #NPFL
Elite Players Scheme which Sani Kaita benefited from two seasons ago.
“4 #NPFL clubs Akwa Utd, FC Ifeanyiubah, Kano Pillars
& Wikki Tourists are bidding to land the former Super Eagles defender,” LMC
said via @LMCNPFL.
Yobo who is Nigeria’s record title appearance, with 101
caps recently played in his testimonial and centenary game in Port-Harcourt. He
was later appointed senior special assistant on sports development to Governor
Nyesom Wike of Rivers state.
