LOBI Stars and Nigeria International, Solomon Kwambe is out of the theatre after a successful operation at Benue State University Teaching Hospital Makurdi, Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports.The former Warri Wolves defender got injured after colliding with a Sunshine Stars player during a Week 22 Nigeria Professional Football League encounter in Akure.
The Markurdi-based club gave the cheering news of the Super Eagles defender's surgery via the team's official Facebook account on Friday.
Quoting the Team Doctor Ayom Chris, the club said, "the operation was to correct the face fracture (Right Orbital blow-out fractures) he sustained in a league game against Sunshine in Akure .
"He is doing well", the vastly experienced Doctor said.
While wishing the player quick recovery, the club added, "Get well quick Solomon".
