Sunshine won’t take Akwa Utd lightly, says Ogoh

SUNSHINE Stars defender, Kelechi Ogoh says the Akure based team are well prepared for a showdown against Akwa United in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 13 encounter at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium this weekend.


According to Ogoh, the players are determined to record their first away win of the season in Uyo.

"We give glory to God Almighty for the result we had against Wikki Tourists, our attention has shifted to the next match against Akwa United as we hope to record our first away win of the season.

"The players are aware of our position on the table and we are ready to show maximum commitments in a bid to record a very good result in Uyo, by the grace of God, we shall not fail,” said the former Akwa United player said.

The former Abia Comets defender promised to always work hard to attract the attention of national team selectors.

"I will always do my best for Sunshine Stars at all times and hope my best will be good enough for national team call up because that is the dream of every player", Ogoh told SportingLife.

The Owena Waves are 11th on the log with 15 points after 12 games while the Promise Keepers are placed 8th with 16 points with a game lesser.
