Pazango, Turba, Lazarus boost for Plateau Utd

PLATEAU United trio of Philip Azango, Benjamin Turba and Lazarus Fan have returned to training with the remaining squad ahead of Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 15 clash against Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS FC) billed for Rwang Pam Stadium on Sunday.

The three players who were nursing different degree of injuries did not feature in the club’s 2-1 defeat suffered in the hands of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) at the Agege in Lagos, last weekend.

The Jos-based side first choice goalkeeper Dele Ajiboye has also rejoined the team after serving his one match ban imposed on him by the League Management Company LMC in the aftermath of the week 12 fixtures against Shooting Stars in Ibadan.

According to the media officer of the club, Albert Dakup, the Peace Boys who still top the league table with 25 points from 14 matches have resume intense preparations ahead of the ABS match with the sole aim of recording a convincing victory so as to keep their dream for a continental ticket alive.

“The absence of these keys players has affected the team negatively, but I am optimistic that their return will lift the spirit in the team. We have put the defeat to MFM in Lagos behind us now and fully focused on the game against ABS. So the return of the three players and goalkeeper Ajiboye is a major boost to the team,” Dakup noted.
