GOMBE United goalkeeper, Fabiyi Emmanuel has declared
himself fit for his side's Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) match
day 13 encounter against Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) at the Pantami
Stadium on Sunday.
King Fabiyi as popularly called, suffered a knock on his
left leg during last game against Lobi Stars at the Aper Aku Stadium in Makurdi
but managed to finish the match, even though they eventually lost, no thanks to
9th minute strike by Okpotu Anthony.
In a chat with SportingLife on Tuesday, Fabiyi, who
joined the Desert Scorpions from Oluyole Warriors said he is anxiously looking
forward to face his former club.
“I sustained
injury on my left ankle during our last match against Lobi Stars. It was just a
minor knock and I was able to finish the match. I’m ready for our next match because
it is going to be against my former team, 3SC.
“I’m looking forward to a great game with clean sheet.
When I was with Shooting, I did all my best for the team and I want to show
them what they are missing as I’m still at my best. It will not be an easy game for us because 3SC
are one of the big teams in the country not minding their current position of league table.
“We lost our last match to Lobi and they drew at home to
Plateau United and you will see that both teams will come out with full force. But I
believe with our fans playing the role of the 12th man, we will come
out victorious,” Fabiyi assured.
