Obuh identifies steps for result oriented matches for Kwara Utd

FORMER Nigeria under 20 national coach and Kwara United technical adviser John Obuh has tutored players and his assistant on key steps to winning home and away matches ahead of the kick off of the NNL. 


A statement signed by the media officer of the club, Waheed Bibire said the tactics is hinged on simplicity, direct, and result oriented football. 

The tactician disclosed this in Minna, Niger state where the team is having a closed camp.

According to Obuh team work, physical fitness and focus is the hall mark of achieving the desire of winning both home and away matches. Hence, the need for the players to imbibe these philosophy.

He urged the players to put in to action all they have learnt during the pre season session, adding that with the leadership in the NFF, NNL, and the LMC, soccer fans in the country will have every course to enjoy good football when the league finally kicks off this week end.

Meanwhile the Club's chairman prince Oladimeji Ladi Thompson has assured the players that they will get their outstanding sign on fees soonest. 

He told the players after their training session in Minna on Wednesday. According to him arrangement for the payment of the players sign on fees has reached an advanced stage and government is also planning to give the club a bigger bus. 

He implored the players to reciprocate the gesture by getting good results home and away.
A breakdown of Kwara United FC pre season friendly matches shows that the team played a total of 26 friendly matches, won 20, drew 5, and lost 1. Scored 73 goals and conceded 16. 

The team also featured in two different invitational tournament won one and loss in the final of Dr Ifeanyi Okowa's Gold Cup in Warri, Delta State.

The team is expected to leave Minna on Thursday 16th March -2017 for Jalingo, Taraba State to honour the week one fixture against Taraba FC.
