Olatunbosun’s strike wins CNN Goal of the Week award

By Akeem Lawal
MOUNTAIN of Fire and Miracle Ministries (MFM FC) forward, Sikiru Olatunbosun's wonderful goal against Enugu Rangers in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 10 clash, has won the CNN Goal of the Week award.

Olatunbosun beat Belgian duo Radja Nainggolan (FC Roma) and Youri Tielemans (Anderlecht) and English player Joey Jones who plays for English National League club Woking FC with overwhelming 82% of the total votes.

After 30 minutes of play at the Agege Stadium, Lagos penultimate Friday, Olatunbosun had all his club's coaches and substitutes running down the touchline towards him by scoring a goal that was tipped to be in contention for the FIFA Puskas Award.

After two neat lobbed passes, the MFM player collects the ball on the edge of the box, flicks the ball over an opposing player's head and smashes it first time on the volley.

The Enugu Rangers keeper Itodo Akor can only watch on as the ball sails over his head and into the back of the net.
