Paralympians deserve motivation, says Nigeria Pillar of Sports, Ejidike


SPURRED by the scintillating performances of the Nigerian paralympics team to the just concluded Rio Olympic Games held in Brazil, the Nigeria Pillar of Sports, Chief Donatus Agu Ejidike, J.P has applauded the courage and the feat of the Team Nigeria which came first among the countries from Africa.

The Nigeria Pillar of Sports, Chief Donatus Agu Ejidike, J.P in a statement from the Office of the Nigeria Pillar of Sports made available to Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com, described the Nigeria Paralympics contingents as fantastic who placated the people of Nigeria in the aspect of Olympic medals this year.

Chief Ejidike who is also the President, Karate Federation of Nigeria sounded that Nigeria is blessed with talented athletes and players if only they could be given the required platform to excel.

“Our poor outing in the first phase of the Rio Olympics was disastrous to a giant nation like Nigeria which is blessed with talented human resources; however, succour came in the way of the paralympic team which won gold medals for the country. This feat portends that with proper planning, Nigeria will attain enviable height in the world of sports,” sounded Ejidike.

He praised the Paralympics team and urged the Federal Government to reward them as motivation and encouragement to all.

Ejidike also called on the Federal Ministry of Sports to initiate appraisal committee that will review the nation’s performances at the Rio Olympics and suggest fruitful policies that would enhance the country’s performances come 2020 Olympic Games in Japan.
