Nigerian international, Elderson Echiejile is already
looking forward to a new challenge in his football career with Standard Liege
of Belgium.
The Super Eagles defender joined
The Reds from AS Monaco on a season-long
loan deal with an option to make it permanent after the deal expires on
transfer deadline day on Wednesday night.
The 28 year old who is on
international duty with the Nigeria national team took to his Twitter account
on Thursday to thank Monaco fans for their support during his three and a half
years stay at the principality club.
“Happy to take up the new challenge at
@Standard_RSCL and wish to thank @AS_Monaco and the fans for their support.
#EUE3”, he said via@EldersonEch.
Echiejile who has 50 caps
for Nigeria is also in line to feature for the Super Eagles against Tanzania in
Saturday's 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Uyo.
