NIGERIAN international, Godfrey Oboabona has charged players of the Super Eagles to beat their Tanzanian counterparts for soccer loving Nigerians.

Nigeria will battle Tanzania in 2017 Africa Nations Cup qualifier at the Godswil Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Saturday and speaking with Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com from his base in Turkey, the Çaykur Rizespor defender stressed the importance of recording victory over the East Africans.

"It is very important for the team to win against Tanzania to make Nigerians happy. Though we are out of the race for the Nations Cup, victory will no doubt give the team a psychological boost ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zambia next month,” the Super Eagles defense ace said.

The former captain of Sunshine Stars while calling on Nigerians to give maximum support to the team, said victory for the Eagles will serve as perfect way of thanking them for their support.

"Nigerians have been so supportive and a win against Tanzania will be best way to say thank you. It is also important for the fans to come out in their thousands to give support to the team and serve as the 12th player".
