with Standard Liege of Belgium under new

The Super Eagles defender joined The Reds on transfer deadline day from AS Monaco
on a season-long loan deal with an option to make it permanent after the deal
expires.
The 28 year old, who featured in Nigeria’s 1-0 victory
over Tanzania in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Nest of
Champions in Uyo last weekend, uploaded a picture of his first training at the
Belgian club under the new manager on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Standard Liege announced the appointment of
Jankovic as their new head coach just hours after parting company with Yannick
Ferrera.
Ferrera's year in charge of Standard came to an end with
the 35-year-old paying the price for a poor start to the season that saw them
win just one of five matches and slip to 11th place in the Belgian Pro League.
The club then moved quickly to find his successor,
handing the reins to Jankovic following the Serbian's resignation from Belgian
rivals Mechelen.
