Iheanacho makes Premier League Team of The Week

MANCHESTER City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho has been named in the Premier League Team of The Week by whoscored.com, the largest detailed football statistics website which covers Europe's top leagues.


The Nigeria international netted the second goal as Manchester City thrashed Bournemouth 4-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

The 19 year old who struck in the 25th minute to record his third consecutive goal this season for the Citizens also provided an assist for Raheem Sterling to get City’s third goal.

The youngster is no doubt repaying the faith manager Pep Guardiola has in him with goals to make up for the absence of Argentine striker Sergio Aguero.

Whoscored.com’s Premier League Best XI saw the Super Eagles striker who received a rate of 8.71 partners Manchester City team mate, Kevin De Bruyne (10.0) in a 4-4-2 formation. 

Sunderland safehands Jordan Pickford is the team’s goalkeeper despite being on the losing side in 1-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.

The midfield position has Raheem Sterling who was also on target for Manchester City last weekend, West Brom midfielder Nacer Chadli, Dimitri Payet of West Ham.
