NIGERIA international Victor Moses took to social media
to confirm that he picked up a hamstring injury during the 2-0 win over Hull
City on Saturday.
The former Wigan winger also revealed that he is enjoying
every bit at Chelsea this season after being voted Man of The Match in his
first Premier League start in three years.
The last time Moses started a game for Chelsea in the
league was on the 11th of May 2013 when they defeated Aston Villa 2-1 in a
league tie at Villa Park under Rafa Benitez.
The arrival of the Italian manager, Antonio Conte this
season has given the 25 year old a new lease of life Stamford Bridge after
enduring three different loan spells at Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham
respectively in the last three seasons.
The Super Eagles forward was outstanding at the KCOM
Stadium as his energy was useful as Chelsea played three across the back for
the first time this term under the Italian tactician.
“Unfortunately I'm feeling my hamstring and so the club
medical team will be reviewing me. Will be working hard to get fit asap #CFC,”
Moses tweeted.
Speaking with BBC after superb second-half finishes from
Willian and the in-form Diego Costa sealed the points, Moses said of his new
role: "There's a lot to do, but I have to graft, go up and down and I kind
of enjoy it, getting a lot of one-on-one situations."
“Yes I’ve always want to play for this club, it is one of
the best club in the world. I just want to enjoy myself as much as I can when
out there and I enjoyed myself today and hopefully there will be more games for
me to play in the future.”
Chelsea fans were especially impressed with Moses who got
a standing ovation when he was substituted by Pedro in the 85th minute. He is
now doubtful for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Zambia on
October 9 in Lusaka.
