CHELSEA full back, Cesar Azpilicueta said it is an honour
to have a talented player like Victor Moses at Stamford Bridge.
The Spaniards who has played a key role in Chelsea's
recent revival under Italian manager, Antonio Conte also revealed he had talked
with the Nigerian international to help him adapt to his new role at the club.
Moses is enjoying a revival in his career at Chelsea
after spending the last three seasons out on loan at Liverpool, Stoke and West
Ham respectively following his arrival from Wigan in 2012.
Conte has used Moses as a right wing-back in his new
3-4-3 formation to much success, although the Italian decided to rest the
25-year-old for the Blues' EFL Cup fourth-round tie with West Ham on Wednesday.
And Azpilicueta has revealed he has helped the Super
Eagles forward adapt to the defensive side of his new role.
"Victor has played most of the time as a winger but
he has to defend in this role now and he needs help," Azpilicueta told Sky
Sports.
"I have talked with him and explained a lot of the
defensive side because he has to adapt to that now. He's offensive-minded, we
have seen that when he gets in those positions, but he's working hard and it's
great to have him in the side."
