LMC, clubs, other stakeholders
THE Football Club Owners Association Of Nigeria (Club
Owners) have sent a congratulatory message to the Management, players,
officials, supporters and fans of Enugu Rangers as
well as the government and the good people of Enugu state on their historic emergence as champions of the
Nigeria apex league in Nigeria after a record 32 years.
A 4-0 victory Over El Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri last Sunday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium 'Cathedral' in Enugu
saw the coal city Antelopes emerge as winners of the NPFL giant league trophy.
Club Owners in a statement jointly signed by the Chairman
Barr. Isaac Danladi and the Executive Secretary Alloy Chukwuemeka on behalf of
the Association felicitate with Rangers international FC and urged them to keep
the winning spirit high even as they represent the country in next year's CAF
champions league.
Club Owners further extended it's good will messages to the other clubs that secured continental
slots namely Rivers United FC and Wikki Tourists FC respectively,
congratulated those clubs that retained their status in the top flight, just as
it urged those that got relegated to take it in
good faith in the spirit of sportsmanship and work harder for a quick
return to the elite division come next season.
The association also commended the Mallam Shehu Dikko led
League Management company for organizing a successful league season that was
highly competitive and could only produce a
champions on the last day of the season.
It described the season as one of the best so far in
terms of good organization, new set of records in statistics as well as high
spectatorship and urged the LMC and Clubs to improve on other areas of needs in
the coming season.
Club Owners commended the Ministry of youths and sports,
the NFF, LMC, SWAN, the players,
officials, supporters, fans, Referees, match commissioners, Assessors, security
Agencies, sponsors and partners, coaches, players union, and other relevant football stakeholders for ensuring that the season was concluded
successfully.
