.He now understands Premier League – Ranieri

Nigeria international, Ahmed Musa has dedicated his first goal in the English Premier League to his wife, Jamila.

The Super Eagles forward hit the target in Leicester City’s 3-1 victory against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

It was the 24-year-old’s first strike in six English topflight appearances for the Foxes since his move from CSKA Moscow for a £16.6m club record fee in the summer.

His strike and that of Shinji Okazaki and Christian Fuchs’ were all the champions needed to silence the visitors at the King Power Stadium – which ended their three matches winless run.
Musa then took to his Instagram page immediately after the game to express gratitude to Almighty God and also dedicate the goal to his lovely wife, whom they share two kids, a boy and a girl.

"Alhamdulillah, for the first goal in EPL. Dis goal is for you J.️️️️👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏,” he said via @ahmedmusa718.

Two years ago, Musa had disclosed to The Nation Sport & Style in an interview that Jamila was the pillar behind his success, which was the main reason he had to send her on holy pilgrimage to Mecca first.

“I actually sent my wife to Hajj (Mecca) this year (2014) because she has been a strong pillar to me,” Musa had said emphatically. “She has (religiously) been observing all the other four pillars of Islam and she needed to go to Mecca to complete the fifth as well as pray for the success of the family and my progress in particular.

“She is God sent and has been very supportive to me since we married. I am happy to have her as my wife because she knows how to raise my morale when it is down,” he added

Meanwhile Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri believes Ahmed Musa has gotten used to the English Premier League style of play and is now ready to make an impact in the prestigious league.

"I feel good. The first 20 minutes were not so good but after that we started to play, press, play fast, and I enjoyed it a lot. We deserved to win, the Italian manager said in a post-match interview.

"We were very solid, after the first 20 mins. But yes, I think that was our best performance this season.

"Ahmed Musa is slowly getting better and starting to understand the Premier League too.
"No, it was not a game for Jamie Vardy today. Against Chelsea I left out Slimani and Mahrez; today I wanted to rotate.

“It’s normal because we have to play so many matches. All the matches are important and when you see Okazaki and Musa in training I have to put them on the pitch,” said Ranieri.
