THE Nigeria Rugby Football Federation (NRFF) has
announced a strategic partnership with Cross-fit Lagos Gymnasium, the leader in
varied, high-intensity functional movements in Nigeria.
Under the two-year partnership, Cross-fit will be
delivering rugby-specific strength and conditioning to the members of Nigeria
national rugby team, the Black Stallions.
NRFF President, Sir Edward Fom while commending the owner
of Cross-fit Lagos, said the aim of the partnership is to improve the fitness,
strength, and proper muscle development of the players by helping them to prevent
unnecessary injuries during games.
“We are pleased to announce that Cross-fit Lagos
Gymnasium has partnered with the NRFF to provide a comprehensive strength and
conditioning program for our National teams. Cross-fit Lagos owner, Isaac Amadi
will also provide individualized consulting to players on a question-answer
basis.
“The program’s goals will be to improve team fitness,
strength, and proper muscle development to help prevent injury and win games”, Sir
Edward Fom said.
Owner of Cross-Fit Lagos, Mr Isaac Amadi said the organization
remain committed to provide world class facilities that will assist raising the
fitness level of the Black Stallions.
“We at Cross-fit Lagos Gym are glad to have a partnership
with the Nigerian Rugby Football Federation for their strength and conditioning
training. We are committed in providing all the best of our coaching skills and
knowledge to go with our facility to enhance the Black Stallions fitness goals
for the period of two years while we are open to extend the time. We will be
open as well to travel with the team to the camp if needful as the black
Stallions slogan says One Team One Dream”, owner of Cross-Fit Lagos,” Amadi said.
