Onazi celebrates Eagles’ victory with sugarcane

SUPER Eagles vice captain, Ogenyi Onazi has revealed how the team celebrated their 2-1 victory over Chipolopolo of Zambia in a 2018 World Cup qualifying Group match at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola last weekend.


Nigeria won a competitive away game for the first time in 23 months as Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanacho scored before Collins Mbesuma pulled one back in the Zambian Copperbelt capital.

The victory puts the nation on top of Group B with three points after Cameroun and Algeria match ended 1-1.

Onazi, who was instrumental as the three-time African champions defeated the Zambians, shared a picture of him with a blonde hair buying a local fruits called Sugarcane on his Instagram account.

“This is how we celebrate the victory yesterday, thank you all for your support and prayers. We will continue fighting. #sugarcaneonpointπŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ. #godblessnigeriaπŸ‡³πŸ‡¬πŸ™πŸ½”, the Trabzonspor of Turkey midfielder said along with the picture.

The 23 years old midfielder had followed the path of Lionel Messi and Neymar in the latest blonde hair trend.

It is left to be seen if the former Lazio midfielder will still be wearing the same hairstyle when Nigeria next face Algeria at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on November 12.
