TWO-time FIFA World Player of the Year, Ronaldo de Assis
Moreira, commonly known as Ronaldinho has revealed that he has always being a
fan of former Super Eagles attacking midfielder, Augustine 'Jay Jay' Okocha.
Okocha and Ronaldinho were team mates at Paris St Germain
and the Nigerian international was rumoured to have influence the Brazilian
legend’s style of play.
The former Barcelona star posted a picture of the duo alongside
Colombian former footballer, Carlos Alberto Valderrama on his Instagram account
on Tuesday while on tour of Bahrain.
“Shirt 10 I always admire Jay-Jay Okocha and
@pibevalderramap,” he said via @Ronaldinho alongside the picture.
While posting the same picture on his Instagram page @ official_jj10Legend,
Okocha simply wrote “Tour in Bahrain #Ronaldiho #Valdarama#the no 10πͺπΎππΎππΏ”.
The trio and few other former superstars are in in the
Middle East country attending the 67th Fifa Congress to be held at Bahrain
International Exhibition and Convention Centre on May 10 and 11.
They are also expected to play a Fifa friendly game on
Wednesday at the National Stadium in Riffa. The decision to hold the event in
Bahrain was made during the second meeting of the Fifa Council in Zurich in
October last year.
Since then that decision has been hailed as it shows
recognition of Asia as the centre for international football, as the continent
stands poised to host other high-profile events in 2017, including the Fifa
U-17 World Cup in India, Fifa U-20 World Cup in Korea Republic and Fifa Club
World Cup to be hosted by the UAE.
