By Akeem Lawal
PLATEAU United of Jos technical crew has slammed experience defender, Olowo Emmanuel with a one week suspension without pay for acts of gross indiscipline and insubordination.

According to the club’s technical adviser, Kennedy Boboye, Olowo's suspension became necessary so as to forestall future occurrence and serve as deterrent to others.
Boboye lamented that Olowo who is one of the most experienced players in the team has failed to leave by example which prompted the decision.

Boboye cautioned his players to brace up for the challenges ahead of the second round of the Nigeria Professional Football League.

The former Abia Warriors manager urged them to redouble their efforts stressing that all matches in the second round will be tough, as virtually all the teams in the league are battle ready to prove their worth in the NPFL.

He advised them to exhibit a high sense commitment and dedication to the course of the team, noting the technical crew will only feature players who are ready and willing to fight for the course of the team which is picking a continental ticket at the end of the season.

Boboye, who expressed reservations with the team performance in the Plateau State Federations Cup final against Mighty Jets last Sunday, charged them to always lift up their games irrespective of the opposition they are facing.

The Peace Boys are occupying the top spot of the NPFL with 35 points from 19 matches.
