MOUNTAIN of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM FC)
forwards, Olatunbosun Sikiru and Stephen Odey have described their first ever
Super Eagles call-up as dream come true.
The two Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) stars
were included in the Nigeria's squad for the friendly game against Corsica and
a camping in France ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers
against South Africa on Saturday, June 10.
Both players have been impressive in the Nigerian
topflight this season and their outstanding performances in the leagues have
earned them the much-awaiting senior national team invitation.
Odey, the Nigerian top league leading scorer and
influential left winger, Olatunbosun have scored 19 goals with eight assists in
the first stanza of the 2016/17 NPFL season. The former has scored five goals
with five assists so far in the league.
"I'm very happy with the call up, it's a dream come
true and I want to thank the coaching crew of our team led by Fidelis Ilechukwu
and the entire team members, the management as well and our Father in the Lord
Dr. Daniel Olukoya who has really tried a lot for me personally with prayers
and everything," Olatunbosun told MFM FC Media team.
The NPFL top scorer says he's delighted to have made the
25 man list: "I'm very excited with the national team invitation. It's
every player's dream to play for the Super Eagles and to represent his country
and for me this is a dream come true," the 19 year old striker said to
