MOUNTAIN of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM FC) defeated Spartan FC by 3-1 in the final to emerge champions of Lagos FA Cup once again at the Agege Township Stadium on Sunday.
Chukwuma Onuwa opened scoring for the defending champions in the 11th minute, but Spartan FC responded in the 24th minute with an equaliser to make it 1-1 at half time.
In the 70th minute, MFM were awarded a penalty and captain Stanley Okorom made no mistake in converting the resultant penalty.

MFM coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu said he was happy his team won the cup back to back and hopes the team will do better than last year, in the national campaign for the FA Cup.
“Its good we are champions but we will like to surpass our last year’s campaign in the FA Cup. That should be the target now,” he said.
For emerging champions of the competition sponsored by Winners Golden, MFM took home the trophy as well as N1 million prize money, while Spartans got N500,000 for their efforts.
