AS Sunshine Stars battle Nasarawa United in a week 9
match of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) at the Lafia Township
Stadium on Sunday, the Akure-based team striker, Sunday Oluwadamilare says the
players are focused on securing maximum points.
Sunshine Stars who were forced to a 2-2 draw by ABS FC at
the Akure Township Stadium in their last match are desperate to return to winning
ways.
In a chat with SportingLife ahead of the match, Damilare,
a former Samvic Academy player said they are ready to put their season back on
track.
"We are not happy with our position in the league
and we are working hard to improve the situation.
"The players are focusing on our next match against
Nasarawa United to kick start the turnaround and by the grace of God, we shall not
fail."
The Owena Waves
are currently 15th on the league table with 8 points while the Solid Miners are placed 10th with 9
points after 8 matches.
