THE Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 7 tie between Abubakar Bukola Saraki
(ABS FC) and Mountain of Fire and
Miracles Ministries (MFM) billed to hold at on Wednesday at the Ilorin Township
Stadium has been moved to Thursday, reports SportingLife.
The League Management Company announced the shift of the
game by a day in a letter addressed to the Chairmen of the two clubs on Monday.
ABS, now 4th on the log with 10 points, lost 1-0 to Kano
Pillars at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofarmata on Sunday, no thanks to Adamu
Muhammed who came off the bench to score in the added time to give the Kadiri
Ikhana led team the maximum three points at stake.
MFM on the other hand secured a 0-1 away victory over
Sunshine Stars in Akure courtesy of Stephen Odey's 48th minute strike to move
to the 2nd spot on the table with 13 points.
Media Officer of the Saraki
Boys,Olayinka Owolewa however believes the shift in date is a blessing in
disguise for his side.
“We are delighted about the postponement, we came back
from a long jopurney and we will now have a day more to rest. Maybe that is
what LMC put into consideration to postpone the game, we don’t know. It if
something that is okay by us. Putting into consideration that our next away
game is just in Akure, which is not far from here,” Owolewa told SportingLife.
