ABUBAKAR Bukola Saraki (ABS FC) Technical Manager, Henry
Makinwa says his lads must put up a better performance if they are to
get anything from their Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Week 11
clash against defending champions, Enugu Rangers on Wednesday.
The Saraki Boys defeated Wikki Tourists 1-0 in the
matchday 10 fixture held at the Kwara State Stadium last Sunday courtesy a 15th minute
strike by Mohammed Mohammed to move to 3rd spot on the log with 17 points.
In a chat with SportingLife, Makinwa said his side were
superb in the game, especially in the second half, but admitted that Wikki
Tourists were a dangerous side who could have also snatched a point from his
side.
He then hopes the players can build on the performance
when they take on Rangers at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium.
"We are happy with the game. It's another full point
for us, it could have been more goals, but we let up at times during the match.
We had up to six to seven chances and their goalkeeper (Emeka Nwabulu) was
fantastic. We could have lost, they could have won, but it's done deal with the
win. Against Rangers on Wednesday, we will hope to build on this to perform
better," Makinwa said.
