AUSTRIA Wien forward, Kayode Olanrewaju has claimed the Best
Strike 2016 award in the Austria Football Bundesliga for the second year
running.
The Nigerian striker scored 13 goals and provided 11
assists in his debut season to emerge one of best forwards in the league and
help The Violets finished third behind
league winners Salzburg and runner-up Rapid Wien.
The former Flying Eagles star who gave the piece of
cheering news on his Instagram page on Monday, thanked the fans who voted for
him for their support.
“Just want to use
this medium to thank God Almighty and the amazing fans for their votes and
support...Best striker 2015 and again 2016...Much love#Lk8😉,”

The 23 year old, who had previously featured for Nigeria
at the U17 and U20 levels, is presently the club’s top scorer with seven goals
in 18 appearances this season.
