By Akeem Lawal
SUPER Eagles midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi returned to action
for Trabzonspor and helped the team secure a 0-0 away draw with Aytemiz
Alanyaspor in the Turkish Super League clash at the Şenol Güneş Stadyumu
(Trabzon) on Monday night.
The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner was given a two-day
leave after he underwent a successful hemorrhoid surgery in a private hospital
in Turkey last week, was in action for the entire duration of the game, while his compatriot, Kenneth Omeruo was also in action for 90 minute for Alanyaspor.
Onazi did not show any sign of injury worry as
he was one of the best players for Turkish side.
The draw saw Trabzonspor occupy the 6th position on the
table with 31 points, 16 points adrift of leaders, Besiktas and the Nigerian
international believes luck was against his side as they did everything
possible to secure victory.
“We did everything humanly possible to win the game but
luck was not on our side, but we thank GOD for the draw, heads up for the next
game guys.💪🏿🔴🔵 #determinedtosucceed #ooe ,” the 24 year old said via his official Instagram, @Onaziogenyi.
The former My People FC player has now made 20
appearances for the Black Sea Storm with two goals in the kitty since
