FC Ifeanyi Ubah will aim to extend their unbeaten run when
they host Sunshine Stars in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Match Day 25 game at the Ifeanyi Ubah Int’l Stadium, Nnewi on Sunday.
The Anambra Warriors, who are currently on a three match
unbeaten run in all competitions, will be aiming to take all three points
against their opponents although defender and stand in captain Wilson Elu
believes it’s not going to be an easy match.
“It’s not going to be an easy match, both clubs know each
other pretty well and here in our club we have a few players who have played
for Sunshine Stars. Hopefully that will be an advantage for us”
Elu who is suspended for the match after being sent off
in the last match against 3SC, went on to say that the team will be looking
forward to build on its recent positive performances.
"The spirit in the team is very high, we have been
improving and the results are beginning to come. All we desire is to continue
the good run and by the special Grace of God we will do just that."
When asked whether the team will cope with his absence,
Elu expressed Optimism that the team will get the three points even in his
absence.
"As I said earlier, the spirit in camp is high and we are
all playing for the team and for each other. I am very sure that we will get all
three points even in my absence."
