SUPER Eagles forward, Ahmed Musa has said that he is
delighted to join one of the best teams in the English Premier League after
completing his move to Leicester City from CSKA Moscow on Friday.
The Nigeria international signed a four-year club record £16million deal with the Premier League winners, ahead of their first foray
into the Champions League.
The 23-year-old scored 13 goals in 30 Russian Premier
League games last season to fire CSKA to their domestic title and leaves the
club having netted 53 times in 164 appearances in all competitions.
He has also scored 11 goals in 58 games for his country,
including a brace against Argentina in the 2014 World Cup.
“I feel very happy joining Leicester City, for me it’s
one of the best clubs and I feel very happy," the Super Eagles vice captain told Leicester official website.
"I joined because it’s one of the best clubs in the
Premier League and they are like a family. That’s why I joined Leicester City
and I’m very excited.
“I look forward to seeing the fans in the new season and
I will do my best to make them happy,” the former VVV-Venlo striker said.
Musa had rejected interest from both Everton and
Southampton to agree terms with the Foxes.
