Ighalo tips Isaac to be a success at Watford

By Akeem Lawal
NIGERIA international, Odion Ighalo believes the arrival of compatriot, Isaac Success will help Watford to a better campaign in the English Premier League.

Watford last Friday completed the signing of Success from Granada for a club-record fee in the region of £12.5m, sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports.

The 20-year old striker, who puts pen to paper on a five-year contract with Watford, follows the likes of Ighalo and Adalberto Penaranda in swapping Granada for Vicarage Road.

Ighalo who also saw over 37 million pounds bid from Chinese club, Shanghai SIPG for him rejected by Watford, said Success has all it takes to perform in the Premier League.

“Isaac Success is a good and energetic player. He is young and still has future ahead of him. He just needs the experience of the Premier League to be okay. I’ve played with him while I was with Granada and I think he has what it takes to play in the Premier League.”

Ighalo however warned his countryman to be ready for the tough nature of the league.

“He (Success) just needs to work hard and do the finishing they do in Spain and put extra efforts in England because in the Premier League, defenders are bigger and you have to be ready to run for 90 minutes.

“In Spain, when you are playing, sometimes the tempo will just go down, but it’s not like that in the Premier League. You need to run 100 percent for 90 minutes and I think he is still young and he can do that. I’m happy he will come and join me in Watford and we will play together and make Nigerians have people that will make them proud in England,” Ighalo said.
