Kogi Utd send feeders coaches to school

AS part of its plans to empower its coaches to meet up with required standard in modern football, management of Kogi United will be sending two of it technical crew, Okala Awala Sabo and Adamu Issa Oluwe to coaching school at Nigeria Institute of Sports.


Chairman of Kogi United, Mallam Abdul Sule who disclosed this to the club's media noted that the move was part of the club's programs to empower not only the players but coaches to impact to their wards.

Sabo and Oluwe will join their other intending applicants for the basic coaching course which will enable them gather more knowledge as the Confluence Boys aimed to develop more talents through the youth ranks.

"We have decided to pick of our coaches (Sabo and Oluwe) to NIS to gain more knowledge in coaching and in turn teach the players what is needed in football. They have been doing an excellent jobs with the feeder team with promotion of six players to the main team," Sule said.

Technical adviser of the club's feeder team, Suleiman Adamu popularly called Zico thanked the chairman on behalf of the technical crew for the initiative and promised that the coaches would make good use of the opportunity and impact that on players.


The likes of Ibrahim Sanni Enesi, Sediq Umar, Anyhony Jegede have been promoted to the main team of Kogi United and have make impressive impact under six months of floating the feeder team.
