We want to beat Gombe for our fans, says Sunshine’s Adedipe

By Akeem Lawal

SUNSHINE Stars utility player, Adedipe Kehinde says the team is ready to beat Gombe United for the club fans in the Nigeria Professional Football League matchday 25 encounter, which will hold behind closed doors at the Dipo Dina International Stadium on Sunday.

The Owena Waves were banished to play their remaining home matches this season in Ijebu Ode from the Akure Township Stadium by the League Management Company following their disruptive act when they lost 2-1 at home to Plateau United in the matchday 23.

In a chat with sportsbiz247.blogspot.com on Saturday, the midfielder who can also operate as an attacker said the team is in high spirit for the clash against the Savannah Scorpions.

"The atmosphere in camp is very good because we're all in high spirit against tomorrow's game," begins the former Rising Stars player.

"We are set to beat Gombe United for the fact that we were banished from Akure. We want everybody to know that we are capable of winning.

“We will definitely miss our fans because they always cheer us whenever closedwe are playing but playing under door will make us to work harder to give our fans the desired result.

Sunshine Stars are 17th in the Nigerian topflight log with 27 points, the same points with their opponents who are a place behind them and Adedipe believes his side will avoid the drop by winning all their home matches and getting away points.

“We are very confident that we will win all our remaining home matches and get some away points through hard work and determination,” he told sportsbiz247.blogspot.com.
