SUPER Eagles forward, Brown Ideye could not hide his joy
after he scored twice to help Tianjin Teda edge Obafemi Martins’ Shanghai
Shenhua 2-1 in a 12th round game of the 2017 Chinese Super League on Friday, sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports.
The 28 year old who was left out of the Nigeria squad for
the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier match against South Africa took his
tally four in 10 appearances for the Tianjin
Tigers.
The former Olympiakos striker gave glory to Almighty God for
the goals.
“All glory to God for tonight's Brace🙏 #Tianjinteda
#thankful #wekeeponfighting⚽️,” he posted on his official Twitter acount
immediately after the match.
He latter uploaded a one minute clip of his goals the following
day with caption, “Amazing victory last night⚽️⚽️ #brace #thankful #fighting.”
Martins, fondly called ‘the weapon of mass destruction’
opened scoring for the visitors in the 11th minute before Ideye drew level for the home side in the 36th minute and scored
the winner in the 89th minute of the encounter.
The win saw Tianjin Teda move up to the eighth position
in the CSL table with 13 points from 12 games while Shanghai Shenhua are 12th
in the standings with 21 points from 11 games with a game in hand.
