Iheanacho: Eagles will get better

NIGERIA international, Kelechi Iheanacho has assured Nigerians that the country’s national team, the Super Eagles will only get better following their 3-0 victory over the Hawks of Togo in an international friendly decided the Stade Municipal Saint Leu la Forêt stadium in Paris on Thursday night.

Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports that a brace from Leicester City forward, Ahmed Musa in the 3rd and 17th minutes followed by an easy tap in by Iheanacho in the 27th minute ensured that the Super Eagles continue their unbeaten run under manager Gernot Rohr.

The Manchester City forward who took his tally for the national team to seven is delighted that the team started a new month with win.

“Starting the month with a win, great performance from the young #supereagles we keep working hard to get better #SoarSuperEagles #ki72,” the 20 year old wrote on his Instagram page, @kelechi72.

Some of the players returned to their Abuja camp on Friday to continue preparations ahead of their all important Nations Cup qualifier against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa billed for June 10th at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
