NIGERIA international, John Ogu will hit Super Eagles
camp on Sunday ahead of next weekend’s African Nations Cup qualifiers against
the Bafana Bafana of South Africa at the Godswill Akpabio’s International
Stadium in Uyo, sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports.
The Hapoel Be'er Sheva midfielder could not make the
Nigeria camp in France where the Super Eagles played a 1-1 draw with the senior
national team of Corsica on May 26 and defeated Hawks of Togo 3-0 on June 1 in an
international friendly due to visa issues.
The 29 year old who was initially not part of the 23-man
list invited by the Nigeria Football federation, NFF to prosecute the African
Nations Cup qualifiers made this known via his Twitter account.
Ogu will join the rest of the team that returned from
France on Friday night at the Bolton White Apartment camp in Abuja as the team
is expected to travel to Uyo on Tuesday.
“I can't wait to hit the camp on Sunday . 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬.
With everything, we will fight to bring joy to our Nation 🇳🇬🇳🇬..,”
he said via @ogujohnugo.
Ogu enjoyed a successful season in the Israeli Premier
League where he led his Israeli outfit to retain the league trophy they won
last season.
