midfielder Chukwuka Onuwa believes his side needs to beat Kwara United in the Nigeria
Professional Football League Match-Day 2 encounter slated for 'Soccer Temple' Agege Stadium on Wednesday, as they cannot afford to
miss two games in a row.
Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports that the Olukoya Boys lost 2-0 to Abia Warriors in their
opening match in Umuahia, no thanks to second half brace by Effiong Ndifereke.
In a chat with Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com on Tuesday, the skillful attacking
midfielder is however expecting a tough game against the Harmony Boys who also
lost their first game at home to Niger Tornadoes in Ilorin.
“Although we were not really
happy with our loss in the first game of the season to Abia Warriors, we have
put the defeat behind us and now focused on the Kwara United game. This is
going to be our second match in the league and our first home game, we need to
get our plans right because we know what we can do.
“We can’t afford to lose two games in a row and we have
to give our 100 percent to the game. Kwara United lost their first game at home
and they will be coming all out with fighting spirit. We are ready to counter
them. The team spirit is very high in the camp, everyone knows the task ahead
and we are focused. So I want to urge our fans to come out and cheer the team
to victory at the Agege Stadium,” Onuwa told Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com.
