KWARA United forward, Aminu Abdulkadir is filled with thanks and appreciation to God after the team survived a motor accident while traveling back to Ilorin, Kwara State.
Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports that the Nigeria Professional Football League side were involved in a ghastly accident along ojo Ibadan express way while returning from Lagos where they participated in the Nigeria National League Super Four.
In a chat with Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com, the former Nasarawa United player said it took the grace of God for them to come out alive.
“Help us thank God my brother. We just had an accident in Ibadan right now but we are okay. A car was trying to overtake our bus and our driver tried to make way for him. So as he was trying to go back on the lane, we ran into a parked trailer.
“We are happy to survive this kind of accident because it takes the grace of Almighty God," Aminu told Sportbiz247.blogspot.com shortly after the accident.
In his reaction, Kwara United President, Sir Prince Oladimeji Ladi Thompson thank God that no life was lost, adding that God has been faithful to the team considering the degree of the accident.

The club’s Media Officer, Abdul Waheed Bibire said in a statement that the three out of the people on-board that sustained various degrees of injuries have been taking to the hospital for medical attention, while the remaining members of the team have since been arranged into another bus enroute Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS FC) Director of Football, Alloy Chukwuemeka who also shared the report on Facebook after visiting the scene of the incident said, “Breaking News. Kwara United contingent to the just concluded Bet9ja NNL Season super 4 ,involved in an auto crash on their way back to Ilorin along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway ,a few are being hospitalized.
“Thank God no life was lost. Our prayers to those injured for quick recovery. I have Just left the scene of the incident now,” he said.
Enugu Rangers also prayed for the players and officials via their Twitter handle, @RangersIntFC saying, “We commiserate with players and officials of @KwaraUnitedFC on the accident this morning . God be with all the players and officials.”
Enyimba via @EnyimbaFC said, “Our heartfelt commiserations with the players and staff of @KwaraUnitedFC, who were involved in a road accident today. Grateful there was no loss of life. Speedy recovery to the wounded. 🙏🏾“
Ikorodu United via @FCIkoroduunited, said “Management of Ikorodu United Fc sympathize with @KwaraUnitedFC on hearing about the accident. We wish @KwaraUnitedFC a speedy recovery. Get well soon “Harmony Boys”.
A sports analyst, Adepoju Tobi Samuel with Twitter handle @OgaNlaMedia said, “God be with @KwaraUnitedFC and everyone involved in this road journey job. May God mercy continue to shower on us. Amin Jesu!
Another Twitter user @ItoyaKelvin said “God be with Kwara Utd and heal all injured in d terrible accident on their back to illorin this morning... Thank God no life was lost.”
Also reacting on Facebook, Ayodeji Ismail said, “oh My God!!! May God Heal those injured, Wishing them Speed recovery.
Olanrewaju Lawal said, “Hope our players, supporters, staff not dead oooo? God will continue to protect the entire team.”
With this development, it is to be seen if the NPFL Match Day One fixture between Kwara United and Niger Tornadoes scheduled for Kwara State Stadium in Ilorin this weekend will still go ahead.
