NEWLY signed Akwa United striker, Victor Mbaoma is in
cloud nine after scoring his first goal for the club in their 2-0 victory over
Yobe Desert Stars in the 2017/2018 Nigeria Professional Football
League (NPFL) Matchday 3 encounter decided at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium
in Uyo on Sunday.
Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports that Mbaoma, who joined Akwa United on loan from Nigeria National
League side, Remo Stars, opened his goal scoring account for the Promise Keepers in the 30th minute when
he volleyed in Aniekeme Asuquos delectable cross.
Mbaoma, who scored 10 goals for the Remo Stars during
their campaign in the NPFL last season, thanked his team mates and technical
crew for making it possible for him.
“Proud to open my goal scoring account in the colours of
the Promise Keepers, many thanks to
my teammates and technical crew who made it possible. We look forward to the
next game. #Godplsz,” he said via @VictorMbaoma.
Akwa United will travel to Lokoja to take on Niger
Tornadoes in the NPFL Matchday 4 at the Confluence Stadium on Wednesday.
