New ABS coach, Sanni gets official car, meets with players

NEWLY appointed Head coach of ABS Ilorin FC Tunde Sanni has been presented with a Toyota Corolla official car ahead of the 2017/2018 Bet9ja Nigeria National League (NNL) season, Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports.

The former Kwara United head coach was appointed after the expiration of the two seasons’ contract of coach Henry Makinwa, who is presently on disengagement leave in Spain.

Sanni, who met with officials of the club at their secretariat in Ilorin on Thursday, also stormed the training session of the Saraki Boys at the Kwara Stadium where he was introduced to the players and backroom staff by the Director of Football, Alloy Chukwuemeka.

Chukwuemeka, who presented Sanni the key to the official car with an assurance that every necessary logistics would be made available to boost his job, charged the players and officials to cooperate with the coach in his task of ensuring that the club returns to the elite league in earnest.


He urged the coach to continue to uphold discipline which is the motto of the club, while adhering strictly to professionalism in the discharge of his duties.

Speaking on behalf of the players, the team's captain Saliu Dogo welcomed the coach and assured him of maximum cooperation.


The official unveiling ceremony of the coach will be performed soon at the club's secretariat in Ilorin.


Sanni has worked under the watchful eyes of the likes of Chief Festus Onigbinde, late Kafaru Alabi and Ahmadu Shuaibu, Joe Erico, Clemence Westerhoof, Fatai Amoo among other notable coaches.

An indegiene of Ilorin in Kwara State, Sanni holds a CAF B' coaching license and a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University Ile Ife.
