Onazi delighted with Trabzonspor debut win

NIGERIAN international, Ogenyi Onazi is delighted to make a winning debut for Trabzonspor in a 2-0 victory over Hungarian football club side, Gyirmót SE in an international friendly game on Thursday night.


Goals from Yusuf Erdogan in the 28th minute and  29th minute strike by Yusuf Yazici gave the Turkish giant victory in the final pre-season game ahead of the new season.
The Super Eagles midfielder who could not hide his feelings, took to social media to commend the coaches, players and the club fans.

“It was great to play my first game with my new club, great spirit fantastic players, intelligent coach, and wonderful fans of Trabzonspor this year we are ready to win all. Biz şampiyonuz thank you lord for your grace 👏🏻 Kazanan bizim kültür,” he posted on his official Instagram page.

The 23 joined signed a four-year with the Turkish team in a deal worth €5m after leaving Italian side, SS Lazio. He spent five years with Lazio, who he joined from Nigerian club My People, and scored seven goals in 110 appearances.

Onazi made 22 appearances for Lazio last season as they finished eighth in the Serie A.


Trabzonspor will host Kasımpaşa at Hüseyin Avni Aker Stadium when the Turkish Süper Lig kicks off on August 20.
