Phoenix target first NLO win against Juvenile

PHOENIX Athletic Club of Ijan Ekiti players have declared they will secure their first maximum points in the Nationwide League One as they battle against Juvenile Football Club of Ilaro at the Sports Complex of Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti.

Phoenix are yet to pick a point in the NLO and are languishing at the bottom of the log having lost 0-1 at home to As Racine and lost 2-0 to Gray's International FC at away.

“It’s the maximum points against Juvinile FC or nothing else, because we are not happy that we have not secured a win since I joined this noble club,” 17-year-old striker, Tolulope Ojo said.

Speaking in the same vein, mercurial midfielder, Sunday Ajayi said, “I am very sure we're going to win, as you can see we're responding well in training and I believe if we can keep this tempo and play well against Juvinile we will surely roast them.”

“The maximum point is a headache for us and I believe by God grace we shall get it against Juvinile FC," club captain, Seyi Akinyemi, said.
